Only 12km from the South African Border at Kosi Bay, a 100km from Maputho and 30km from Sodwana, Dream Beach is the ultimate next-door location for an exotic island-style getaway.

Accommodation & Amenities
Dream Beach Self-catering Villa sleeps 12 people and comprises of six fully air-conditioned bedrooms – two with double beds and four with two single beds. Two of the en-suite bathrooms are equipped with a bathtub, while the remaining four are furnished with shower only. All bedding and bath towels are provided.
The covered patio offers uninterrupted ocean views, leisure seating and a large dining table, while sundowners in the bar area will have guests relaxing in no time. The sundeck between the upper and middle floors are furnished with comfy deck loungers, while a private infinity pool with an immaculate view is perfect for lazy poolside days. A private braai area sets the perfect tone for an unforgettable seafood grill-up with friends.
All living areas, as well as the kitchen, are equipped with ceiling fans. The kitchen is fully kitted with double-door fridge and freezer, oven, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, ice machine, cutlery and crockery. The inside living area has comfortable seating, a TV, DVD player and DsTV.
The washroom is equipped with a Speed Queen washing machine and a tumble dryer, and walks out onto a wooden deck with washing line behind the house. Daily house cleaning service is available at an additional charge, and additional domestic staff can also be arranged to take care of your personal laundry as well.
A wooden path with steps offers guests direct and private access to the beach. There is private parking for two vehicles, with additional parking where available. An outside shower downstairs meets swimmers returning from the beach, and there is a wash trough and handrail by the front entrance where scuba divers and snorkelers can wash and hang their equipment.
Please take note of the following:
- No smoking allowed inside the house.
- No open flames inside the house.
- Please ensure that all protective covers of air-con compressors on the outside of the house are removed before air-conditioning is switched on.
- Please bring own swimming towels.
- Please bring own coffee and filters if you wish to make use of the coffee machine.
- No pets allowed.
Area Activities & Travel Information
Whether your dream holiday consists of lazy days on the beach and stargazing at night, or exhilarating outdoor activities in a tropical environment, Dream Beach offers both.
Dream Beach is situated some 2km north of Ponta do Ouro and approximately 7km south of Ponta Malongane. The area is known as the diving Mecca of Southern Africa and several of the best scuba diving centres are located in Ponta do Ouro and Ponta Malongane. Gozo Azul is a popular dive centre that comes highly recommended.
From Ponta do Ouro fishing expeditions, surf lessons and 4-wheel motorbike tours can also be booked for adventurous guests. Fishing excursions are especially popular in the area – Gozo Azul charters fishing adventures of all kinds. Ponta do Ouro also boasts a beautiful and safe swimming beach from where boat trips and snorkeling excursions can be arranged. And if swimming with dolphins is on your bucket list, look no further than Somente Aqua Dolphin Centre – they organise boat trips with snorkelling along colourful reefs, swimming with dolphins and whale watching adventures.
There are a few restaurants and beach bars where you can end off your day in the sun with excellent local cuisine and sampling local beers such as 2M and Laurentia. For essential needs, there is a fuel station, a quick-shop with basic items, a pharmacy and a police station.
The locals are very friendly and peace-loving – serious crimes are very rare. While locals do not take malaria medication themselves, and malaria cases are uncommon, the area is still classified as a malaria zone. As the house is situated close to the beachfront, the sea breeze further aids in keeping mosquito away.
Rates
Low season: R4 000.00 per night for the entire house.
High season: R5 000.00 per night for the entire house.*

Directions
Transport is available from the border at Kosi Bay to Dream Beach – please contact the Kosi Bay border post directly to arrange transport to Ponta do Ouro. Secure, 24-hour guarded parking of your vehicle is available on the South African side of the border at R 20.00/R 30.00 per day per vehicle. All vehicles are under 24-hour guard.
Directions for self-drive (4x4 required):
There are two routes to Ponta do Ouro from Pretoria/Johannesburg: One via the Kosi Bay border post and the other via Maputo through the border at Komatipoort. Dream Beach lies approximately 100km from Maputo and a new tar road is currently underway and set to be completed towards the end of 2017. Currently the best route is via Kosi Bay as the road is more drivable and the border post quieter.
From Johannesburg, take the N12 through Witbank and Middelburg. Take the Hendrina off-ramp and travel through Hendrina, Ermelo, Piet Retief and Pongola. Once past the town of Jozini turn left to cross over the Jozini dam wall. When you reach the T- junction, turn right and continue through the town of Kwangwanase (Manguzi). Continue for another 17km or so to the Kosi Bay (Farazela) border. From here you will need a 4x4 vehicle to cover the last 12km stretch to the town of Ponta do Ouro. From Ponta do Ouro, continue for another 2km towards Ponta Malongane. On this road between Ponta do Ouro and Malongane, you will find Dream Beach Self-catering Villa on your right-hand side.
